Christ's Hospital Choral Society
Welcome to Christ’s Hospital Choral Society
of Horsham, West Sussex a choir privileged to rehearse and perform at Christ's Hospital School. Members come from around Horsham and we sing a broad range of music, largely classical.
Our four concerts a year are atmospheric, beautiful, and very enjoyable for both singers and audience.

We are a choir for adults associated with the famous school near Horsham, West Sussex, formed in 1988 so that members of staff and people from the wider community could sing a range of choral music.
All voices are welcome – Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Bass
No connection with the school is necessary to belong.
We rehearse on a Tuesday evening at Christ’s Hospital and perform three or four concerts each year.

Programme 2026 – 2027
Our first rehearsal will be on Tuesday 8th September at 7.30 p.m. in the Hertford Centre at Christ's Hospital. Members should arrive in good time and, as is our tradition, there will be a short social at the start with a glass of wine or a soft drink. Our first concert of the singing year will take place on Saturday 19th November 2026 in the Chapel at Christ's Hospital, featuring Mozart's sublime 'Mass in C Minor. Tickets will be on sale here soon, and also via the CH Theatre Box Office.
Our ever popular Christmas Concert, also in the Chapel, will be on Saturday 19th December 2026. The programme will be published as soon as it is settled but, as always, will include several favourite carols which the audience will join us in singing.
The annual Angus Ross concert usually takes place on the evening of the last Sunday of the school's spring term, towards the end of March. This is the occasion when our choir joins with school's choir to sing a substantial work and, again, as soon as this is decided we will publish details here.
Dependent on what that work is we will expect to hold a workshop early in 2027, open to visiting singers, focussing on it.
We will be putting on a Summer concert. probably in June 2027, and will announce date and programme as soon as we can.
